CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are provided at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These courses start out at NCV level 2 and the least requirement would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

At the time the student finishes NCVLevel two, they would then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level 3 would be grade eleven and NCV Level 4 is read more grade twelve.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, becoming comparable to a National Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start read more NCV amount two which is equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which kind of students are suited to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that conventional education just isn't essentially the sole strategy for turning out to be an artisan or getting certified so if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is definitely perfectly suited for that student.
